We cover all the fundamentals and tailor the delivery method in a way where every student will improve on each of them. \n  \nClass Instruction Includes: \n\nStance\nGrip\nDraw\nSight alignment/Sight picture\nTrigger control/Trigger Discipline\nFollow through\nReloading: Speed versus Tactical (or admin)\n\n  \nYou are encouraged to use your day to day equipment. If you conceal carry bring your everyday carry. If you have a duty rig use it throughout the course. \n  \nPre-requisites: \nAnyone who can display safe firearm handling throughout the course. It is important to understand the following: \nThis is NOT a entry level course. You should already know your way around the firing line and understand safety precautions before taking this class. If you have never taken a training course\, it would be better to start with our Introduction to Handgun course. SUMMARY:ODYSSEY TRAINING – LOW LIGHT PISTOL
DESCRIPTION:Low Light Pistol is a six-hour course that builds the critical skills needed for fighting in low light. Whether it be for home defense or concealed carry\, it is not uncommon to be attacked in hours of darkness. Therefore\, we need a good foundation in low-light mechanics and principles to succeed. This course covers the following subjects: \n  \n– Handheld and weapons-mounted light design and construction \n– Handheld light shooting techniques \n– Weapons-mounted light shooting techniques \n– Using light preemptively to deter violent assault \n– Low Light Fighting Principles \n– Using cover and concealment in low light \n– Decision-making under stress \n  \nThis is not a basic course. You must complete a Pistol 1 or equivalent course before attending. This class is mildly athletic\, including kneeling\, sprinting\, and maintaining balance in awkward positions. Please contact us with any concerns or special needs. \n  \nClasses are held at The Farm Training Center in Fairfield\, UT. Please arrive 15 minutes early to prepare your gear. \n  \nGear List: \n\n\n-Reliable\, powerful handheld light (Surefire\, Streamlight\, Modlite and Cloud Defensive are recommended)\n-Spare batteries for your light\n-A weapons-mounted light (optional\, but recommended)\n-A reliable pistol chambered in a common caliber (9mm\, .45 ACP\, etc.)\n-Belt-mounted holster\, ideally made of Kydex. Spare holsters will be available for a rental fee if needed.\n-At least 3 magazines (if your mags hold less than 10 rounds\, bring at least 5 magazines)\n-300 rounds of ammunition\n-2 spare magazine pouches\n-Eye and ear protection\n-Note-taking materials\n-Water and snacks\n-Good outdoor clothing and boots\n-knee pads
