SUMMARY:AT - Concealed Carry Red Dot 1 - August 10 2024
DESCRIPTION:The red dot equipped handgun has become the preferred conceal carry method for many responsible gun owners. Those who have experienced frustration with a red dot handgun are either frustrated because they cannot keep the dot steady enough in the window to take an accurate shot\, they lose the dot after recoil or cannot initially find the dot during presentation. Another potential frustration is their draw is not as fast as they want it to be from concealment. In this course\, you will learn how to confidently navigate through these frustrations or any optic malfunction that may arise with the red dot. \n  \nPrerequisites: Student must have a firm understanding of the Fundamentals and be safe throughout the course. \n  \nThis is not a beginner course. You’ll need to have a firm understanding of the fundamentals beforehand and should be able to consistently pass the 5×5 drill from concealment (target found on Luckygunner.com; just Google “5×5 Drill”). We will be starting the course with this drill to get an understanding of everyone’s skill level.\n \n  \nClass Instruction Includes: \n\nCarry Position\n \n\nAIWB and IWB: Why those carry positions. Designed for individuals seeking to enhance their speed\, accuracy\, and confidence in real-world scenarios\, Concealed Carry Red Dot 2 introduces advanced topics and techniques to elevate your concealed carry skills. \nThis is not a beginner course. Completion of Concealed Carry Red Dot 1 is required. We will be starting the course with a modified version of the 5×5 drill. \n \n \nClass Instruction Includes: \n\nShooting on the move\n\nImportance and benefits of shooting on the move\nTechniques for shooting while moving laterally\, forward\, and backward\nMaintaining balance\, stability\, and accuracy during movement\n\n\nMoving and Shooting\n\nIncorporating dynamic movements into shooting scenarios\nSidestepping\, pivoting\, and shooting on the move\n\n\n\n\nTransitions\n\nEfficiently transitioning between targets with a red dot\n\n\n\n\nMultiple Target Engagements\n\nThere will be a scenario towards the end of the course which involves live ammunition and positively identifying your target.\nEngaging multiple targets effectively and prioritizing threats\n\n\n\n\nUnknown Contacts\n\nCognitive Drills\nBalancing speed\, accuracy\, and target identification in unknown encounters\n\n\nShooting positions\n\nShooting from unconventional positions (e.g.\, kneeling\, prone)\n\n\nUtilizing cover and shooting from behind barriers\n\n\nAdapting shooting techniques to different shooting positions\n\n\nOne Handed Shooting\n\nIncluding shooting while holding onto someone or gripping a kettlebell\, to simulate real-world scenarios.\n\n\n\n  \n \n \nObjective: \nMaster the use of a red dot-equipped handgun for concealed carry.
