SUMMARY:PPS - PERFORMANCE OUT YONDER WITH JBS TRAINING GROUP
DESCRIPTION:This is a magnified optic curriculum. This course is designed with the everyday rifleman in mind. Practical application of the rifle at true rifle distances is something that is seldom seen in today’s “dynamic” or “tactical” training world. What does practical mean? To me it means experience gained from actual use. Theory has no place here. The experience of actually using the tool we have chosen is often far different than going off of the ideas that are so often perpetuated. These ideas that sound great tend to actually fall short in the true application of those ideas. This is the course for understanding the guns capability\, the shooters capability\, and how to apply this knowledge at maximum speed in any natural environment. This course is for the magnified optic user. That is the magnified dot or the low power scope. We will be shooting from 5 yds out to at least 300 yds (400 yards at the FARM Training Center!). What are you capable of? What is your rifle capable of? Let’s find out!! \n* This is NOT a beginners course. You should understand and be able to apply the firearm life safety rules at all times. A safety/medical brief will be given at the start of class. If you fail to safely manipulate your firearm in any way\, you will be disarmed and a refund will NOT be issued. * \n\n\nTopics Covered\n\n\n\n\nFirearms safety in ANY environment \n\n\nGear set up \n\n\nReticles and how to read them \n\n\nWind calling \n\n\nThe zero process \n\n\nNatural point of aim \n\n\nData gathering and how to efficiently do it \n\n\nUnderstanding stability and how to find it \n\n\nUnderstanding external ballistics \n\n\nUsing what you have on any given day to gain stability \n\n\nPositional shooting \n\n\nShooting from and through barricades \n\n\nShot calling \n\n\nShort/far/short target transitions \n\n\nUnderstanding when and how to utilize magnification \n\n\nUnderstanding where speed comes from \n\n\nManaging recoil \n\n\nAiming and the relationship between target and sights \n\n\nReloading \n\n\nMalfunction clearance \n\n\nTarget transitions \n\n\nMental discipline applied to the gun \n\n\n\n\nInstructor Bio\n\nMark has been shooting for over 15 years. What started with hunting in the woods of SC as a youth quickly developed into a passion. In 2011\, he began to take his shooting seriously after discovering how much he didn’t know after attending his first professional training course. Since then\, Mark has amassed over 1000 hours of professional training from some of the best instructors in the business. \nMark has worked to build relevant\, up-to-date\, and professional training programs for military\, civilian\, and law-enforcement clients in topics ranging from performance shooting\, church safety and security planning\, and Night Observation Device (NODs) integration and techniques. \n\n\nMany esteemed members of the Law Enforcement community have attended JBS Training Group classes\, including members of the 19th SF Group\, Homeland Security\, NYPD\, US Marshals\, FBI and more. \nWhen not teaching\, he also competes in shooting skills matches to include 2-gun/USPSA\, he is the head of the firearms training division of his church safety-team\, and he helps local farmers thin their nuisance animal populations by night hunting. \nWhen not on the busy with his work\, you will probably find him in his yard working on another home project for his wife of 10 years\, Brittany\, and if not\, his two kids are sure to find something for him to do with them.

SUMMARY:PPS - #GETLEARNED 2022 – A FORCE ON FORCE TRAINING EVENT…
DESCRIPTION:A momentous training event unlike any other… this event will be 2 full days of force on force (FoF) training from some of the worlds most respected instructors in their disciplines. After seeing so many serious shooters\, who enjoyed and were passionate about training\, but had never had the opportunity to participate in any force on force training\, we decided that this event must happen. We are brining a curated selection of condensed FoF training available right here to UT\, for a weekend that is surely to build and contribute to the defensive mindset and skillset of the serious self defense practitioner. This event is open to professionals\, experts and beginners alike. \nAll training blocks will be 8 hours of training (with a 1 hour lunch break mid day)\, so plan on full\, exhausting days. Each training block will be limited to 12 students\, providing a better than industry average instructor to student ratio to maximize the learning potential. Each student will have the opportunity to sign up for 2 x 8 hour training blocks of their choice – registration for training blocks will be offered in the order of registration for the event\, so those who commit early will be more likely to get the exact blocks they prefer. That being said\, the event has been planned with only the best training available\, so all participants will receive great training. \nThis is a Non-lethal munition based training event using UTM marking rounds and other training weapons (Provided). \nNO LIVE AMMUNITION WILL BE USED.\n  \nTraining Block Options\nKnife Control Concepts – Aaron Jannetti – Endeavor Defense & Fitness\n \nA committed knife attack tops the charts of “Worst Fears in Close Violent Encounters” in and out of the self defense training world. Each attack\, attacker\, and situation is different. Training a one-dimensional defense for knife attacks can leave us ill equipped and with a false sense of security. Learning the concepts and skills to adapt is crucial to being able to survive. \n[more-reasons text=”More info about Knife Control Concepts”]\nThis one day training event will lay a foundation of concepts and training methodology to help you reframe your approach to defending a knife to be more aligned with a dynamic attack. \nIn short\, this training will super-charge your ability to execute your plan for self defense under changing variables. \n— \nWhat you get: \n\nOne 8-hour training day (8am-5pm with a 1 hour lunch break)\nAccess to the 30-day Knife Control Concepts Stand-Up Online Course\nTraining blade to use during the course and take home with you after the #getlearned event\n\nThe Training: \n\nOn Your Feet – Deep dive into the KCC program\, skill building\, stand-up control elements\, adaptation drills\, striking\, and implementing these concepts into your current training protocol.\nOn the Ground – Introduction to the initial elements of the KCC Ground program. Practical skill building\, adaptation\, and how the concepts from stand up apply to training on the ground.\n\nThe Promise: \n\nYou will be given a set of tools and concepts that will greatly expand your understanding of defending against an edged weapon.\nYou will be given the tools to continue training AFTER the seminar to really implement the training.\nYou will have a ton of fun doing it!\n\n[/more-reasons] \n\nDefensive Scenario Based Training – Jon Dufresne – Kinetic Consulting\nA applications based class that allows students to apply the skills and knowledge they currently have to the problems presented to them. This carefully structured block of training emphasizes the development of critical thinking and problem management skills when opposition may be present. \n[more-reasons text=”More info about Defensive Scenario Based Training”]\nResearch (military\, commercial airlines\, medical industry etc) has proven that learning is enhanced when training is realistic. Scenario Based Training (SBT) is an immersive training environment where students meet realistic challenges and get realistic feedback as they progress (or regress)\, since everything that happens reflects the students choices. Shooting fundamentals are still a vital part of  training\, but the use of real-world scenarios is used to also enhance the students decision making capabilities. The training presents situations and circumstances that armed citizens and/or LEOs face everyday as learning experiences. \nParticipants should be confident in basic shooting fundamentals. The goal of this training philosophy is the accelerated acquisition of higher-level decision-making skills when more than a cardboard target is involved\, and there are immediate consequences. Students must apply their subject knowledge\, physical abilities\, critical thinking and problem solving skills in a safe\, real-world context. \n(8-hour class) \n\nConcepts\, techniques\, and tactics\nForce-on-force scenarios\nClass begins at 0800 and goes until 1700 (with a 1 hour lunch break)\nUTM Pistol\, ammo and face protection are included in the tuition for the course\n\n[/more-reasons] \n\nForce on Force Structure Assessment – Christian Preuthun – Core Vision Training\nStructure assessment is a problem-solving course oriented towards home defense. Rather than simply providing room entry techniques\, we teach our students how to understand angles and determine the probability of threat to increase their survivability in emergency situations. 1v1 & 2v2 Force on Force will be the primary focus\, some touching on 4v4 as well towards the end of the day. \n[more-reasons text=”More info about Force on Force Structure Assessment”] \nWHAT’S COVERED:\n\n\nUnderstanding the basic principles of room clearing \n\n\nAssessing structures to understand the best plan of action to achieve the most desirable outcome \n\n\nDecision making based on size and layout of structure \n\n\nClearing in small elements such as two man teams \n\n\nPositive Threat Identification \n\n\nTAKEAWAY’S INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:\n\n\nAn understanding of: \n\n\nDifferent types of rooms \n\n\nBreaking down Hallways \n\n\nHow to efficiently and safely work in close proximity to teammates in a dynamic environment \n\n\n\n\n[/more-reasons] \n\nWhat’s included when you register\n\nCourse tuition (choose 2 out of the 3 available training blocks): 16+ hours of world-class training\nLunches for both training days\nTraining weapons & ammunition (as in\, you do not need to provide ANY ammunition for yourself during the event)\nTraining blade for you to take home after the event\nDelegate “swag” bag with goodies & discounts from our sponsors and useful items to use during and take home from the event\nPremium event t-shirt (choose your size when you sign up)\nAccess to future Pew Pew Solutions FoF mini training events\n\n\nInstructor Bios\n[more-reasons text=”Jon Dufresne – Kinetic Consulting”]\nJon served with 3rd Battalion\, 75th Ranger Regiment\, deploying multiple times in various capacities. The Ranger Battalion also provided Jon with training and first hand experience in small unit tactics\, airborne operations\, field medicine\, breaching\, foreign languages and small arms. \nUpon leaving the Army\, Jon worked in executive protection and acted as a law enforcement consultant\, molding his military experience into a contextual view of the threats faced outside of combat environments. Jon comes to the firearms industry with an ideal blend of military and citizen; shaping his courses to apply to Mil\, LE and citizen students alike. [/more-reasons]\n[more-reasons text=”Aaron Jannetti – Endeavor Defense & Fitness”]\n \nAaron is co-owner of Endeavor and has been passionately coaching for twelve years. He holds two black belts in Krav Maga\, coaching certificates from The Wingate University in Israel\, a brown belt in BJJ\, a CFL2 certificate\, certifications in Powerlifting\, DNS protocols\, and over a decade of experience in kali\, boxing\, kickboxing\, kettlebells\, powerlifting\, firearms\, and more. He has taught in three countries\, more than 30 states in the US\, and published the book How to Survive an Active Killer. His mission in life is to help people to live life to the fullest physically\, mentally\, and emotionally through coaching and mentorship.
