DESCRIPTION:Pistol Level 2\nOur Level 2 Pistol course (previously called Defensive Pistol) focuses on the\neffective use of the handgun for defense and is step 2 in the Fieldcraft Pistol\nSeries. This dynamic training increases the application of marksmanship\nfundamentals through positional shooting and progressively challenging courses\nof fire. This course is designed for those with a solid understanding of safety\nand weapon handling and will aid the shooter in preparing to use this platform\nin a defensive encounter. Participants must demonstrate proper firearm\nhandling\, range safety\, and weapon familiarity. \nTopics Covered:\n– Skills assessment\n– Fundamentals of marksmanship review\n– Firearm safety and handling\n– Malfunction procedures\n– Multiple shot engagements\n– Target transitions\n– Range safety\n– Grip diagnostics\n– Alternate shooting positions\n– Cover and obstacles \nRequired Gear:\n– Minimum 400 rounds ammunition\n– Pistol\n– 3 magazines\n– 2 magazine carriers\n– Pistol belt\n– Outside waistband holster (OWB)\n– Eye protection\n– Ear protection\n– Snacks and water\n– Rain/cold/inclement weather clothing and sturdy shoes
