SUMMARY:PPS - NPE COUNTER ROBBERY W/ CECIL BIRCH\, DARRYL BOLKE & CHUCK HAGGARD
DESCRIPTION:Defending yourself against violent assault in a Non-Permissive Environment.\n\n\nThere are two kind of handguns that we can use for self-defense – Going to Trouble guns\, and Getting Out of Trouble guns. While we would all prefer to carry full size duty guns with multiple spare magazines (Going to Trouble guns) as our EDC set up\, the fact is that most of us cannot 100% of the time. Because of various restrictions – whether legal\, social\, or environmental\, we often have to defend ourselves with gear that may not be the best when we are shooting fancy drills on the square range (i.e. Getting Out of Trouble guns). Instead of bemoaning that truth\, we need to spend the time working on being able to run our actual carry to the best of our ability. That is what this course is all about. \nIn this class\, we will look at how to effectively shoot and manage the smaller handguns that are typical of a non-permissive environment – i.e. snub revolvers and small autos like the G43 or LCP. We will learn to maximize our performance in shooting as well as accessing and drawing these guns. We will also integrate the shooting with understanding how to recognize and deal with impending violent criminal assault\, and how to use OC spray and physical responses alongside our firearms. Most importantly\, we will put these practices into actual use the exact same way we will have to use them in the real world; NOT the artificial constraints of a flat range. \nStudents should be ready to work hard\, but everyone can go at the most appropriate pace they need. This is not a class for “operators”. This is a course for everyday folks who want to defend themselves and their loved ones from realistic threats\, and your physical condition or experience level does not matter. \nStudents will need their carry gun\, as many spare ammo carrier/loader set ups as they can manage\, a quality holster (no SERPAs or FOBUS rigs allowed)\, 300 rounds of ammo\, one blue gun and holster for the blue gun\, notebook and pen\, and an open mind. Also\, this will be an opportunity to try different carry positions such as pocket or ankle. There will also be time and opportunity to try out other small guns that the student may not have the chance to run before. \nFriday\n\nIntro to pre-assault cues\, pre-fight threat containment and MUC\, OC use\, and live fire safety briefing\n\nSaturday\n\n1st block: live fire\, familiarity with drawstroke from various carry positions\, tricks with small guns\n2nd block: MUC and reactive or proactive physical response\n3rd block: OC usage drilling and integration with verbals and movement\, congruency with physical responses\n4th block: live fire\n\nSunday\n\n1st block: live fire\n2nd block: defending against the entanglement\n3rd block: moving in crowds with a gun in hand (blue gun)\n4th block: final drill/test

SUMMARY:PPS - PISTOL LVL 1 & 2 WITH BAER SOLUTIONS
DESCRIPTION:Level 1 & 2 can be attended / completed individually. \nPistol LVL 1\n( -> register on the BAER Solutions website <- ) \nThis is a level 1 pistol course that will stress fundamentals\, and most importantly providing the “how” and the “why” in addition to what you are trying to accomplish throughout the training day. \nBy the end of the day each shooter will know where they are at and what to work on as you go forward in your training. This is not a course where you will just be led through drills and told what you are doing wrong. Here we will work on fixing them based on what works for you. Identifying your deficiencies and giving you the tools to improve is the end state of the class. We will progress from fundamentals to multiple target transitions and an intro into movement. \n\nThis class is meant as an intro to pistol shooting and is considered a level one class. We will cover the fundamentals for the majority of the day and focus on diagnosing the shooter’s individual problems to ensure progress.\nThe class will receive a safety brief\, medical plan\, loading unloading procedures\, range rules\, and of course filling out waivers before we begin.\nThe program of instruction for the day will begin with a standards test\, fundamentals\, actions such as scanning after an engagement\, and progress into multiple target engagements.\nStudents can use a concealed carry holster or an outside the waistband. Duty belts are recommended if that is what you primarily use.\nIf a student wishes to use a single stack pistol\, have the ability to carry 3 magazines on you\, in addition to your loaded magazine.\nMinimum round count is 550 for pistol\, and as always\, more ammo is better.\nOnce you are registered for this class you will receive a pre-class questionnaire to fill out and return and your class packing list.\n\n\nPistol LVL 2\n( -> register on the BAER Solutions website <- ) \nThis is a level 2 pistol course that will stress fundamentals\, and most importantly providing the “how” and the “why” in addition to what you are trying to accomplish throughout the training day. \nBy the end of the day each shooter will know where they are at and what to work on as you go forward in your training. SUMMARY:CTT Solutions - Performance Carry Course
DESCRIPTION:Performance Carry\nThis two-day training is Mike’s signature course.\nIt is a fast-paced course designed to give attendees not only the technical\, but the practical understanding of the effective employment of their pistol from a covert concealed location. The metric of evaluation is the MEC (Marksmanship Evaluation Course) as found on the website. \nThis course is based upon:\n• training Mike received while a member of the 1st SFOD-D \n• training and instruction he provided to the Federal Air Marshal Service (while serving as the Head Range Instructor at the F.A.M.S. School) and as the Chief In-Service Instructor at the Seattle Field Office of the F.A.M.S. \n• training he taught and utilized during protection operations in Iraq \n• training he refined for a course he recently taught to high-level Special Operations Forces assets prior to high threat deployments involving covert operations. \nThe goals of this course:\n• to safely make the student an extremely competent legal concealed pistol carrier (civilian\, law enforcement or military) \n• provide a foundation of drills and concepts for the student to maintain his/her skills at their own range. \nThis course is geared toward all civilian\, law enforcement and military personnel involved in detective work\, undercover operations\, covert surveillance operations\, V.I.P. protection details\, as well as every day off-duty or legally permitted carry. \nThis is the next evolution of the CTT-Solutions Covert Carry course that has been taught for the last 6 years. The new curriculum puts a premium on movement in the form of turns as well as traditional shooting while moving. There will also be an emphasis on multiple targets and strict accountability of marksmanship all while putting a heavy emphasis on high performance gun handling skills from concealment. \nAll shooting will be from 10-25 yards\, and outside of sight-zero verification and one string on one drill\, all shooting will begin facing away from the target at either 900 or 1800 . Curriculum is built around a non-compensated\, optics mounted handgun with a 4.9” barrel or less because that is what the overwhelming preponderance of people carry for work or EDC and is also the size of most duty guns. \nThe course will require:\n· 1000 rounds of ammunition \n· Serviceable handgun of 9mm or larger caliber \n· Pistol Mounted red/green dot Electro-Optical sight (highly recommended but not required) \n· Electronic hearing protection (safety requirement) \n· Concealment holster (no duty rigs with shirt over it unless you’re LE and that’s your duty setup) \n· Multiple common garments that the shooter wears \n· 4 magazines and minimum of 1 mag carrier \nAbout Mike\nOWNER/INSTRUCTOR\nMike Pannone is a former operational member of U.S. Marine Reconnaissance\, Army Special Forces (Green Beret) and 1st SFOD-D (Delta Force) as well as a competition USPSA pistol shooter holding a Master class ranking in Limited\, Limited-10 and Production divisions. He has participated in stabilization\, combat and high-risk protection operations in support of U.S. policies throughout the world as both an active duty military member\, and a civilian contractor. \nSpecifically\, in conduct of his duties as both a Special Operations soldier and a high-risk contractor\, he has carried a handgun\, trained others in the use of a handgun\, and carried one as part of force protection and or combat operations. \nThe following countries he has carried a handgun as force protection and/or for combat operations or high-risk protection operations. \n·        Papua New Guinea – force protection due to extraordinarily high crime rates and lawlessness \n·        Haiti – during operations in Port Au Prince and while conducting training with Nepalese Contingent to MNF \n·        Direct Action operations with 1st SFOD-D (Delta Force) \n·        Bosnia/Croatia/Srpska/Serbia as part of the formal protection detail for Gen Meigs\, COM/SFOR in Bosnia \n·        High Risk protection Iraq \n·        Combat operations Iraq \n·        Training and force protection in Kuwait \n Mike has conducted dedicated instructor development training for and with but not limited to the following organizations: \n·        Created and implemented pistol training curriculum for the Federal Air Marshal Service as the head range instructor at the school in Atlantic City \n·        Created and implemented pistol training curriculum for the Seattle Field Office as the head in-service instructor. \n·        Created and implemented pistol\, rifle and tactics curriculum for the Asymmetric Warfare Group\, taught to every element of the 82nd Airborne Division prior to their deployment on the IZ surge in 2007. \n·        US Army 82nd Airborne Division 1/325 PIR \n·        USMC- 1st and 3rd SOTG\, Marine Security Forces (pistol and rifle) \n·        US Navy Special Warfare (pistol and rifle) \n·        US Navy EOD (pistol and rifle) \n·        US Secret Service (pistol and rifle) \n·        Federal Bureau of Investigations (vehicle tactics\, pistol and rifle) \n·        US Drug Enforcement Agency (vehicle tactics\, pistol and rifle) \n·        LA Sheriff’s Department (pistol and rifle) \n·        Santa Barbara Sheriff’s Department (pistol and rifle) \n·        Sacramento County Sheriff’s Department (CQB\, pistol and rifle) \n·        Riverside Sheriff’s Department (pistol and rifle) \n·        Kuwaiti Special Forces Special Police (urban tactics\, pistol and rifle)

SUMMARY:#GETLEARNED 2023 – A FORCE ON FORCE TRAINING EVENT…
DESCRIPTION:A momentous training event unlike any other… this event will be 2 full days of force on force (FoF) training from some of the worlds most respected instructors in their disciplines. After seeing so many serious shooters\, who enjoyed and were passionate about training\, but had never had the opportunity to participate in any force on force training\, we decided that this event must happen. We are brining a curated selection of condensed FoF training available right here to UT\, for a weekend that is surely to build and contribute to the defensive mindset and skillset of the serious self defense practitioner. This event is open to professionals\, experts and beginners alike. \nAll training blocks will be 8 hours of training (with a 1 hour lunch break mid day)\, so plan on full\, exhausting days. Each training block will be limited to 12 students\, providing a better than industry average instructor to student ratio to maximize the learning potential. Each student will have the opportunity to sign up for 2 x 8 hour training blocks of their choice – registration for training blocks will be offered in the order of registration for the event\, so those who commit early will be more likely to get the exact blocks they prefer. That being said\, the event has been planned with only the best training available\, so all participants will receive great training. \nThis is a Non-lethal munition based training event using UTM marking rounds and other training weapons (Provided). \nNO LIVE AMMUNITION WILL BE USED.\n\n  \n2023 Training Block Options\nDefensive Scenario Based Training – Craig Douglas – ShivWorks\n \nCraig Douglas has an enormous amount of training and experience exposing students to stressful\, relevant\, and valuable force-on-force scenarios with trained role-players and hit-marking cartridges. In this block\, participants will negotiate blind scenarios and be debriefed on their performances. This is an excellent opportunity to participate in and observe others reacting to active\, thinking\, moving opponents in real-life circumstances. \n[more-reasons text=”More info about Defensive Scenario Based Training”]\nResearch (military\, commercial airlines\, medical industry etc) has proven that learning is enhanced when training is realistic. Scenario Based Training (SBT) is an immersive training environment where students meet realistic challenges and get realistic feedback as they progress (or regress)\, since everything that happens reflects the students choices. Shooting fundamentals are still a vital part of  training\, but the use of real-world scenarios is used to also enhance the students decision making capabilities. The training presents situations and circumstances that armed citizens and/or LEOs face everyday as learning experiences. \nParticipants should be confident in basic shooting fundamentals. The goal of this training philosophy is the accelerated acquisition of higher-level decision-making skills when more than a cardboard target is involved\, and there are immediate consequences. Students must apply their subject knowledge\, physical abilities\, critical thinking and problem solving skills in a safe\, real-world context. \n(8-hour class) \n\nConcepts\, techniques\, and tactics\nForce-on-force scenarios\nClass begins at 0800 and goes until 1700 (with a 1 hour lunch break)\nUTM Pistol\, ammo and face protection are included in the tuition for the course\n\n[/more-reasons] \n\nVehicle Based Force on Force – Bryan Veliz – SlyTac Training Solutions\nOver the course of the year\, Americans collectively spent 70 billion hours behind the wheel. Each week\, average drivers travel more than 220 miles. Add it up and Americans drive an average of 11\,498 miles each year- the equivalent of making two roundtrip drives from San Francisco to Washington\, D.C. One who carries a firearm every day for personal protection might want to learn how to use said firearm in and around their vehicle. \n[more-reasons text=”More info about Vehicle Based Force on Force”]\nThe training block is contextualized for the problems an armed citizen might face while inside or near a personal vehicle. Drills and/or scenarios will incorporate weapons employment while engaging threats from\, around\, over and under vehicles with emphasis on being a prepared\, thinking self defense practitioner. Students will learn more about how to avoid and better survive conflicts in and around their vehicles. \nWHAT’S COVERED:\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n[/more-reasons]\n\n\n\nKnife Control Concepts – Aaron Jannetti – Endeavor Defense & Fitness\n \nA committed knife attack tops the charts of “Worst Fears in Close Violent Encounters” in and out of the self defense training world. Each attack\, attacker\, and situation is different. Training a one-dimensional defense for knife attacks can leave us ill equipped and with a false sense of security. Learning the concepts and skills to adapt is crucial to being able to survive. \n[more-reasons text=”More info about Knife Control Concepts”]\nThis one day training event will lay a foundation of concepts and training methodology to help you reframe your approach to defending a knife to be more aligned with a dynamic attack. \nIn short\, this training will super-charge your ability to execute your plan for self defense under changing variables. \n— \nWhat you get: \n\nOne 8-hour training day (8am-5pm with a 1 hour lunch break)\nAccess to the 30-day Knife Control Concepts Stand-Up Online Course\nTraining blade to use during the course and take home with you after the #getlearned event\n\nThe Training: \n\nOn Your Feet – Deep dive into the KCC program\, skill building\, stand-up control elements\, adaptation drills\, striking\, and implementing these concepts into your current training protocol.\nOn the Ground – Introduction to the initial elements of the KCC Ground program. Practical skill building\, adaptation\, and how the concepts from stand up apply to training on the ground.\n\nThe Promise: \n\nYou will be given a set of tools and concepts that will greatly expand your understanding of defending against an edged weapon.\nYou will be given the tools to continue training AFTER the seminar to really implement the training.\nYou will have a ton of fun doing it!\n\n[/more-reasons] \n\nWhat’s included when you register for #GETLEARNED 2023\n\nCourse tuition (choose 2 out of the 3 available training blocks): 16+ hours of world-class training\nLunches for both training days\nTraining weapons & ammunition (as in\, you do not need to provide ANY ammunition for yourself during the event)\nTraining blade for you to take home after the event\nDelegate “swag” bag with goodies & discounts from our sponsors and useful items to use during and take home from the event\nPremium event t-shirt (choose your size when you sign up)\nAccess to future Pew Pew Solutions FoF mini training events\n\n\nInstructor Bios\n[more-reasons text=”Craig Douglas – ShivWorks”]\nCraig Douglas (aka “SouthNarc”) is the founder of ShivWorks\, a consortium of like-minded professionals devoted to training and product development in the emerging field of interdisciplinary problem-solving for self-defense. Craig retired from law enforcement after 21 years of service with the bulk of his career spent in narcotics and SWAT. Since 2003\, Craig has been teaching globally under the ShivWorks brand and has conducted coursework on entangled shooting skills in nearly 40 states and nine foreign countries. He has taught for federal\, state\, and local law enforcement agencies\, and to three branches of the U.S. military. [/more-reasons][more-reasons text=”Aaron Jannetti – Endeavor Defense & Fitness”]\n \nAaron is co-owner of Endeavor and has been passionately coaching for twelve years. He holds two black belts in Krav Maga\, coaching certificates from The Wingate University in Israel\, a brown belt in BJJ\, a CFL2 certificate\, certifications in Powerlifting\, DNS protocols\, and over a decade of experience in kali\, boxing\, kickboxing\, kettlebells\, powerlifting\, firearms\, and more. He has taught in three countries\, more than 30 states in the US\, and published the book How to Survive an Active Killer. His mission in life is to help people to live life to the fullest physically\, mentally\, and emotionally through coaching and mentorship. [/more-reasons] \n[more-reasons text=”Bryan Veliz – SlyTac Training Solutions”] \nBryan Veliz began his career as a state law enforcement officer with the Val Verde County Sheriff’s Office in 2012 serving as an active patrol officer for several years. As a Patrol Officer within in his first two years on the field he was assigned as a member of the agency’s Special Response Team where he later was responsible for instructing firearms training and qualifications. \nBryan has attended over several training courses regarding the fundamental’s\, mechanics\, and safety standards of programs and continues to train every year. Bryan continues to serve in law enforcement in addition to being the founder and lead instructor with SlyTac Training Solutions\, LLC before joining forces with Centrifuge Training\, LLC as as full time instructor for two years. \nWhile with Centrifuge Training he was responsible as a lead instructor for various programs i.e. VCQB\, injured shooter & low light applications along with managing the database and creating or revamping material. \nAdditionally\, Bryan also provided ballistic data collection for TRIARC Systems\, LLC in gathering\, recording and assimilating data for various weapon platforms. \n[/more-reasons]
