SUMMARY:PPS - LOW LIGHT OPPOSED WITH SLYTAC TRAINING
DESCRIPTION:Low light opposed is our three day program that was created to combine our low light applications courses with reality based training with non-lethal training ammunition. Low light opposed focuses on how to effectively work in a low light environment while understanding the primary flashlight applications\, techniques\, and search methods on the carbine & handgun platform. \nOur goal is to aid in building confidence during low light structure work and help reduce the “lag time” during common issues found in structure procedures. This course will help to create a better understanding of reduced personnel patrol structure mechanics (2-3 man) and close quarter battle procedures combined with Reality Based Training (RBT) and Non-Lethal Training Ammunition (NLTA) and Non-Lethal Weapons. \nStudents will be introduced to CQB workshops\, force on target\, light force and finally force on force. SUMMARY:PPS - EDC PRACTICE EVENING
DESCRIPTION:Nothing too fancy\, no “teaching”\, just a group of shooters getting together to practice and #dowork. The idea is to observe and provide feedback to each other to improve performance… and maybe meet a few new local shooters who share the interest of getting better (whether that is for work\, competition\, defensive purposes or just for fun). \nThe primary focus of this practice session will be drills using your EDC / concealed carry set up. Don’t “game it”… practice with what you actually carry. This practice session will start at 18:00 in the daylight and go into dust / darkness as the sun should be setting right around 21:00. Bring what you carry… weapon mounted light\, pocket light\, phone light – whatever you plan on using in a real low light EDC situation. \nSign up using the “sign up now” link below\, space is limited. Targets\, stands\, sticks etc etc are provided\, just bring your personal gear\, show up and practice! Each practice day will have several stations set up to focus on different particular aspects of your shooting\, you are welcome to shoot all the stations or only the ones that interest you.

SUMMARY:NTC - Low Light Handgun
DESCRIPTION:Low Light Pistol (One day 6-8 hours) \nFighting in a diminished light capacity is nothing short of difficult.  In the modern world\, there are low lite areas even in broad daylight. These shadows and dark spots are a prime location for an adversary to attack you. Proper identification is an integral part of any armed encounter.  The use of a light will assist with that proper identification in periods of darkness. We will teach you the core skills of working with a pistol and multiple kinds of flashlights.  We will help you become proficient with your chosen handgun and your chosen light.  We will discuss and demonstrate the benefits and the problems of multiple different handgun techniques while deploying a handheld flashlight or weapon mounted light.  We will go over the advantages and disadvantages of each technique and show you as you use them and how they can help you and hinder you.  This course is based on hundreds of hours in the field with just the use of illumination devices.  We will NOT be using night vision optics in this course. A shooting and manipulation qualification will be held prior to being able to shoot in this course. Defensive Handgun 1 or an equivalent certification is required to attend this course! (MINIMUM ROUND COUNT – 300 rounds) \nBecause of the limited ammo supply you will be able to shoot this course with a quality Airsoft Gun.  Contact us to verify if yours is approved. \nEquipment List \n\nA replica pistol that matches your pistol being used for the course.\n(We recommend Rings Blue Guns)\nA properly functioning handgun (Night sights are highly recommended)\nWeapon mounted light if used regularly\nA proper fitting holster for that handgun (and light if used)\nAt least 3 magazines for that handgun (5 recommended if using single stacked mags)\n350-500 rounds of ammunition for that handgun\nMagazine Pouches for the magazines\nAt least two handheld lights and extra batteries for each\nPouches or device to hold both those lights on your person\nBody armor if you would wear it while deploying a pistol\nSharpie type pen for marking targets\nPen and notepad for taking notes\nHat or other head covering\nGloves (recommended but not mandatory)\nKnee and elbow pads\nEye and ear protection\nFootwear that you can stand in all day (boots are highly recommended)\nSunscreen or raingear (as applicable) (The course will go rain or shine)\nEnough water supply to sustain you for the day\nA lunch or snack food (We will not have time to leave the range for lunch)
